Aimee Mann - Oh Sandy (Music Hall of Williamsburg 10/31/2012)
turning a frown upside down. you are a class act, Aimee! can’t wait to see the rescheduled Bowery Ballroom show next week. #fingerscrossed
my friends Lisa and Rockers getting a GREAT shout out about their band. everyone in NYC should check these guys out when they get the chance. quite the funktastic experience.
come check out my friends Lisa Ramey and Aaron Rockers in Juicebox’s CMJ Showcase! it’s going to be funklicious. or something like that.
Freelance Whales - Diluvia
i feel like this album could’ve been fitting for any John Hughes film. diggin’ it. especially Follow Through. it’s a jam.
Jason Collet- Hangover Days
it features my girl Emily Haines from Metric and is such a good duet/song. #checkitout
Observator by The Raveonettes
is it possible for a band to produce another great album only a year later? YES. the addition of keys to many of the tracks on this album is well-received. give me some fuzzy guitar and retro rocking any day of the week. SOLD!
favorite track: Young and Cold (errrrhhhhmuhgerd!)
COME SEE drivesafe NEXT WEDS @ LIC Bar at 8pm & @vocalionband @ 9pm OR ELSE!
Cat Power’s ‘Sun’ is brilliant.
it is definitely a departure from her other records in that the lyrics aren’t depressing as hell. it’s good to hear this at the end of a very hard time for her. i hope Giovanni Ribleeblahwhatshisface listens and weeps. Chan Marshall = Winning.
